Wordless Wednesday - My Life's a Circus

I say Mr. Dee looks 'crack-a-lackin'!'. Mr. Dee says, "Call the authorities!"

I live with a bunch of clowns!

How did I get 15 people to dress up like clowns and super heroes to represent my farm? You'd think I had incriminating pictures of each of them or something...

ROAR!

And then a little post parade swim in the river.

Wordless Wednesday - Photo Bombed

Is it any wonder that LaBev and I like to roll childless...

I'm still amid summer riding camp here at the farm. I'll be back next week.
I hope.

Wordless Wednesday - Project Runway

Morgan is one creative and busy kid. She dreams up projects and she will drive me crazy won't stop until she completes them.
Last week she decided to fashion her own garment, so she gathered up some of my ugliest scrap fabrics, and with needle and thread, set to work.
Two days of later, she unveiled this toga-inspired ensemble, complete with horsey cap-sleeves and coordinating belt.
Of course, as it was her first design, she learned that being able to actually walk in it would be helpful... but in the fashion world, not necessarily necessary. But after one good cut up the back with scissors, she was good to go.
Morgan then declared that she was going to premiere her latest fashion at school. For a moment I thought about all the clothing disagreements we'll probably have in the future, I decided to choose my battles wisely, and give her a pass on this one. Besides, she was so dang proud of it, how could I say no?

She's so in.

Wordless Wednesday - Birthday Girl

It's hard to believe she will be 8 years old on Friday.

Dear Time,
Please slow down just a bit. It's all going by too quickly.

Wordless Wednesday - Prom

'Tis the season. And with Bev's wondrous powers of magic and illusion, I now remember my prom much more fondly.

(Not At All) Wordless Wednesday - Rodeo Remix

I've always had this running Bucket List in my head and I've been fortunate to have been able to slap a big ol' check mark next to many of the items. Lived my dream as a trapeze artist... check. Stunt double in a movie.... checkeroo! Sailed through the Panama Canal .... check, Matey! Learned how to fly.... check-a-roo-ski! Meet Steven Tyler.... well, I'm still working on that.
Anyway, one of the items on my list was to ride as a flag girl in the rodeo... You know, this:

OK, except maybe sitting on the horse.

Anyhoo, I got my chance while living in Florida when I got hired by the Dodge Truck Rodeo Team. And I have to say, I loved it! Every week we got dolled up in gaudy, glittery, sequined outfits and galloped around the rodeo arena, carry the US flag or Dodge flag between each rodeo event. Midway through the rodeo we'd come out and perform a wild, galloping drill routine. Seriously, such an awesome job!
And did I mention copious amount of the tight little cowboy butts in tight little jeans. Occupational BONUS!

All this in exchange for just staying on my horse...

oh, and having to wear a cowboy hat.

(Not Really) Wordless Wednesday: Hodgepodge Edition

Sorry guys, I'm cleaning out my cell phone pictures and serving up heaping plate of left overs. Mmmmmmm, enjoy.

It's nasty out today and I can't help but wish I was back in Antigua, jet skiing. Yes, that's Joe riding bitch. And after about 10 minutes of him screaming, "you're going too fast!", I dropped his ass back on the beach. Coz I'm nice like that.

Morgan channels her inner Ga.

The kids set up a trap to catch a leprechaun on St. Patty's Day. Unfortunately they got out-smarted by the little green bastard and he left this little message to them on my hardwood floor with a sharpie. Next year I'm leaving out my own trap; De-Con laced whiskey.

ROAD TRIP WITH THE HORSES!

Storm enjoys a Pony Pop, which is, essentially, horse crack cocaine on a rope.

(Nearly) Wordless Wednesday - Memory Lane Edition

While rifling through a basement full of old photos, looking for a prom picture for Cary for his List of the Day's up-coming Prom Picture-palooza, I came across a million embarrassing pictures with tons of blog-worthy stories a picture from my first horse show.

I won first place riding a cousin's former horse, "High Top Tippy". And yes, I had really long hair.

(Nearly) Wordless Wednesday

Fun with Grammie and Bumpa - Panning for gold

Enjoying a picnic while Letterboxing

Today the horses were visited by the dentist. They were drugged heavily and awoke with clean pearly whites... but of course not before I snapped a few pictures and laughed mercilessly.

SMILE!

That's all I got. Have a great day.
