Happy Gotcha Day!

August 23
One year ago my Mom and I walked into Tokmok Orphanage for the last time and left with Beck and a new life. He was a quiet, scared little boy and I can't imagine what must have be going through his little mind as he sat on the bed at the hotel. Everything was new to him, the sights, the smells, the food. A Mommy. A Grammy. He was the center of attention for the first time in his life.

Signing him officially out of Tokmok

The sweatest moment: Beck waves "pa-ka" to his friends.

So much has changed in one quick year!

Happy Gotcha Day to all of you. It was neat seeing the kids at Tokmok and recognizing that several have come home or are coming home!! How awesome!!

How quickly time flies. Happy Gotcha Day and 1 year anniversary as a new family. I am so happy that we met, and I look forward to meeting many more times.

I know! It's wonderful that I know 7 out of 11 kids have forever families AND I have had the most wonderful opportunity to meet either online or in person all of them!

It's funny - it seems like he has always been a part of your family, in a way! He fits right in and I can't imagine Casa De Tyler without little Beckett. :) We love you, Beck - so glad Mala, Joe, and Morgan "gotcha."
