(Not Nearly) Wordless Wednesday - School's Out Edition

Eeesh! Sorry I've been AWOL, things have been hectic this week. And really, how much crap can we fit into the last week of school?

And trust me, I'm feeling like a heel that I haven't even responded to comments in the past TWO posts! Egads! I'm a loosah! But believe me, I love you all.... LOVE YOU! Like, rub up all against you, love you. Really.

But for now, bring on the Wordless (or not) Wednesday.

Morgan got a surprise ride home from school yesterday. Her teacher was a good sport and didn't let on. She even let the class watch "Spirit" right before pick-up.

Dee and Storm wait for the school bell to ring.

Morgan was all smiles for the rest of the day. She called out to anyone who happened to be outside, "It's funny to get picked up at school by a horse!". During the relaxing ride home, we talked about school and summer and everything in between. This was possibly the best ride I've ever had.

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!

Time to clean out the backpack. CRIPES! That's a lot of crap! What the... is her backpack a TARDIS?
Mr. Hoffa, is that you?
*Corona not included

This is what I missed while in Florida Morgan's dance recital. There she is... the one in the green... with her hair pulled back.... Isn't she the cutest?
*yeah, I can't tell which one she is either.

And speaking of Florida, it was fun. And HOT! DAMN HOT!

Here's a menu I found at our hotel.

Prultry, anyone? Mmmmmm, tastes like Gator.
And while schlepping around Hollywood Studio, I spotted this guy - and you know, because I love you all so much, I had to take a picture.

NOT AT THE TABLE, CARLOS!

Well, that's all. I wish I could promise that I'll get back on track now, but I wouldn't want to lie to you.

Later Taters.

School's out! Yay. And can you be my mom? I am serious. I want someone to pick me up from somewhere on a horse. You win the coolest mom ever award for that move.

Morgan's backpack looks just like a purse. They grow up so fast, don't they?

Loved the pics! Now I'm craving prultry, damn it!

And that guy needs to rethink his look, srsly. Did he forget his satchel?

I'd leave a comment, but you never respond, so...

Morgan didn't say to the other mothers that y'all passed, "Look at me. Look at your daughter. Now look at me. I'm on a horse."?

(That wasn't a comment, but, rather, a question. Actually, I guess it was a comment disguised as a question. I'm tricky that way.)

CMLCW - Well, ummmm, sure. I'll be right there. *cluck, cluck* This may take some time. 95 South, right?

Bev - IT'S A MAN-PURSE!

Frank - you get some sort of prize for that comment. I'll get right on that.

I had prultry for dinner last night, and it was tasty!

Dood, Florida is hot. Period.

My ex sent an email wanting to pick Sam up from school the other day. Yeah, he's been out for 3 weeks. Good stuff.

Samsmama - I saw that post. I laughed so hard my husband asked me what I was reading. I had to explain it 3 times before he got it. Sigh.
So why don't you tell him he needs to pick Sam up after lessons with his runway coach or his SCUBA lesson or his weekly beer with the President.

Hey Mala, Think it was hot when you were down here? Guess what it is today......101 and 90% humidity. I can't wait to get home for some good ole NH air. Come on Sept. See you then.

What?! You didn't get Fat Jesus's autograph?

I would have died of sheer delight had anyone ever picked me up from school on a horse! You are such a cool mom. Will you adopt me?

We were at Hollywood Studio's today and it was 95 with a heat index of 108. Brutal but fun.

Yes! Weekly beer with the President! ;)

I am clearly NOT the cool mom, so if you want to send Morgan here for a couple days, we'll sort out the purse thing right quick. No lasting emotional scars, I promise. And then we'll all paint our nails.

Every time someone tells a story about Florida, I think to myself, "nope. not on the list." Auburn, CA was bad enough, thanks.

You are the coolest mom ever for picking up Morgan at school with the horses in tow. Oh my gosh, I would have keeled over had my mom done that for me....I'm sure it's a memory she'll never forget :).

So, is it considered good manners to respond to comments? I never do, only because I didn't think people came back to check them...hmmm...now I feel like a jerk. I do like to leave comments on blogs though.

JJ, some bloggers choose to respond to every comment, some don't. I'll only respond to a comment on my blog if I have something to say, which, of course, I usually don't. :-)

Some people will quit commenting on a blog if their comments are responded to. To them, I say, "".
