First Ride - NaSePiMo

Yes, we bought a horse that we had no idea could be ridden.  Today I'm very happy to say that my horsey intuition is 3 for 3.

I purchased Mr Dee 10 years ago, via the phone, having not seen him in over a year and being 1500 miles away.  I went with my heart and it paid off in inmeasurable ways.

Then there was Storm.  I fell in love with him over the internet and met him half way from his home in PA.  What I found was a very sick horse with a very questionable future.  But I knew he needed medical attention immediately and it seemed obvious he wasn't going to get it in his current situation.  So I wrote a check and loaded a feverish, weak horse into my trailer.  I knew there was a possibility that I would simply bring this horse home to bury, but again my heart lead me.  And once home with proper care, he recovered and flourished and has been a blessing to our family.

And now Taz.  Again I saw something special.  And again I felt that draw, that gut-feeling.  So we bought him without knowing whether he was even ridable.  Another leap of faith...

Well today, we had at least one question answered...

Wow, this hasn't even shown up in my blogger reader yet. I was just stalking by.

Anyway, congrats on 3 days in a row of pictures. You can do this!

Excellent story! Three very lucky horses you have!

Samsmama - Wow! I had just hit the submit button. Kudos on your stalker-ific skillz. And thank you for the encouragement. Seriously, I need to find a subject other than beer and horses.. but I haven't left the farm in days... c'est la vie.

OM- That's IT!!!!!!!! Wildfire is now banned from ever being sung here at Mixed Nuts! Got it!!!? I only know that one friggin' line but that doesn't stop me from having it stuck in my head all day! ARGH!!!!!

Courtney - My. thoughts. exactly.
That's a long way down.
Would it be mean of me to ring a bell and shout "And they're off!" every once in a while when my aunt's riding?????

I love beer and horses. I used to combine the two and, well, never mind.
