My First Book!

So I started getting paranoid that one day I'd log onto my blog and all my archives would have evaporated into thin (cyber-space) air so I have published my blog in hard cover form to be enjoyed years from now. The book came out so well that I've decided to create one every year of all the events and every day things our family has done so that the kids can enjoy them in the future. How cool would it be if you could pull a book off the shelf and read about your life the year you were, say, 7.

Putting together the book was super easy! Just go to blurb.com!

Of course, I'm still working on my 'real' book which still sadly remains a notebook fullof notes and research. But I am committed, and at the right point, to put pen to paper and start fleshing it out.

VERY cool! The internet is fabulous, but being the book lover that I am, I have to say that there really is nothing like pulling a book out and reliving page by page...I've been meaning to do this, I'm heading there now....

PS--your security word is tatersht. Hmmm...sounds like what happens after a very bad case of WaffleHouse smothered and covered hash browns...

I'm with you Lori, I love the internet, but I could never replace a book with it. There's nothing like snuggling up with a good book... snuggling up with a laptop, or worse yet a desktop just doesn't cut it.
In fact, when I'm writing I can't compose on the computer. It has to be good old fashion pen and paper.

Mo2A and Jackie, you totally should do it! It's so easy and I created it start to finish in like 2 hours (because I was tweaking it a lot)
Hilary - just send me your CC and I'll totally put yours together!

It looks great! I enjoy your blog.

One note- you have a typo in your header. It should be spelled "chronicles".

Thanks Michelle. I was having panic attacks that all my stuff would be lost in cyber space. Sadly, it's the only place I've written all the adventures down(especially to do with the adoption). And, well, my memory sucks. So if I didn't get it down on physical paper I could lose those memories forever.

Nora, thanks for the heads up (and to the rest of you, especially those with English degrees - I'm looking at you Bev- thanks for letting look like an idiot!) Just kidding. I fully acknowledge I'm missing the gene for spelling. I heart spell check!
Actually that nifty header was just a temporary trial. I was insanely jealous of some fellow bloggers with their super cool pimped out banners so I tried my hand at it and now I can't seem to fix it... or change it to anything other than the default header.
sigh, I'm such a losah!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for sharing this! It is exactly what I've been looking for to preserve my own blog! Ok, I haven't been looking that hard, but wondering what was my best option. This is it!
